Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

Why buy vanilla ice cream when you can have your own homemade vanilla ice cream in just a few simple steps and ingredients. No ice cream maker? No problem.

Just follow the directions below to learn how to make homemade ice cream without an ice cream machine.

This vanilla ice cream recipe is in two part: with eggs and without eggs. Yet still you will have a creamy, flavourful dessert for your quest or family. It is the easiest ice cream recipe ever!

And you can use this same easy method as a base to make different flavors of ice cream like chocolate ice cream or mango ice cream.

HOMEMADE VANILLA ICE CREAM INGREDIENTS

With Eggs

 1 liter Whole milk

3 whole eggs

1/2 cup Heavy cream

 1/2 teaspoon Corn flour

1 cup Sugar

2 teaspoon Vanilla Essence

 

Without Eggs

 1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream.

1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk.

2-3 teaspoon vanilla extract (vanilla bean or liquid extract)

 

 

HOW TO MAKE VANILLA ICE CREAM

With Eggs method

In a small bowl, add 1 teaspoon corn flour in 4 tablespoon cold milk, stir it into a smooth paste. Set mixture aside.

Beat egg in sugar until well combined. Set aside

In a large saucepan, boil the milk and reduce to half quantity. Continuously stir to prevent milk from sticking to the bottom.

Now add in the corn flour mixture to  milk mixture. Add in sugar mixture

Once the consistency of milk thickens, reduce the flame to low.

Next, add the fresh cream and vanilla essence and mix well.

Turn off the flame and pour the mixture into an aluminum container. Allow it to cool off

 Cover the container with an aluminum foil and freeze for 6 hours or till semi-set.

Remove from the freezer and pour the mixture into a blender then blend till smooth.

Transfer the mixture back into the same aluminum container. Cover with an aluminum foil and freeze for 10 hours or till set.

Scoop your ice cream and enjoy the flavorful dessert.

 

 

Eggless(No-churn) method

Place your milk and Equipment for this recipe inside a freezer to chill items

In a big bowl, beat cold heavy whipping cream/heavy cream with electric mixer until stiff peaks form

Fold in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract to the whipped cream.

Mix ingredients together until smooth.

Pour the mixture into a loaf pan or air tight container

Freeze for 7 hours or until completely frozen. Then scoop and enjoy.

 

TIPS FOR A PERFECT VANILLA ICE CREAM

  1. Use Heavy whipping cream, also known as heavy cream or cream is a dairy product that has a higher fat content.
  2. Ensure that you use cold milk or lumps will be formed. Cream that isn’t cold enough might not form stiff peaks.
  3. Once the heavy whipping cream forms stiff peaks, stop beating. If you continue beating it, it will turn into butter.
