How to make Turmeric Tea

Turmeric Tea is rich in anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds.

In traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine, turmeric has been used to relieve arthritis pain and regulate menstruation. It’s also been used to improve digestion and liver function

Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory powerhouse that possesses many scientifically-proven health benefits, such as the potential to prevent heart disease, Alzheimer’s and cancer.

This tea is perfect for sipping any time of day, but it’s especially soothing right before bedtime.

 

 

BENEFITS OF TURMERIC TEA 

Among the many, many uses for turmeric include helping to treat:

Heartburn

Stomach pain, Crohn’s disease, and ulcerative colitis

Diarrhea

Intestinal gas

Stomach bloating

Loss of appetite

Jaundice

Liver problems

Stomach ulcers

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

High cholesterol

Skin inflammation from radiation treatment

RECIPE INGREDIENTS

2 tablespoons ground turmeric

1/4 cup water

1 cup milk (or soy milk, or other non-dairy milk substitute)

1 teaspoon almond oil

1 teaspoon honey

1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

 

 

DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO MAKE TUMERIC TEA

Add ground turmeric and water in a saucepan.

Under medium heat, bring to a simmer and allow to cook, stirring, until a thick paste is formed.

Use 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of this turmeric paste for each cup of tea.

Add turmeric paste, milk, cinnamon powder, almond oil and honey to saucepan and reduce heat to low.

Bring mixture just to a boil then remove from heat.
