HOW TO STORE AND PREP CABBAGE
Store it properly in a cool environment like the refrigerator, basement, garage or cellar, and it will long outlast tender leafy greens.
To prepare, first remove any wilted or scraggly leaves. If leaves are primarily intact and clean, wash the outer leaves, then trim off any bruised areas, so as to waste as little as possible.
Cut the cabbage in half, then cut out the triangle shaped core on either side with a sharp paring knife. Rinse to remove any dirt.

RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1 medium sized smoked tuna or salmon
Cooked meat or gizzard, cut into pieces
1 medium sized cabbage
1 teaspoon vinegar
2 onions
8 fresh tomatoes
2 teaspoons tomato paste
1 inch root ginger
2 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon rosemary
1/4 cup vegetable/ Palm oil
3 teaspoons powered pepper
Salt
Seasoning cube or powder
DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO PREPARE CABBAGE STEW
Wash cabbage with water and vinegar. Remove any unwanted part.
On a flat surface or chopping board, slice cabbage into smaller pieces into a clean bowl.
Under medium heat, place saucepan on fire. Pour in water and add a pinch of salt to taste. Allow to boil and ad in cabbage pieces.
Cook cabbage until soft. Drain using a colander and set aside.
Wash and chop 1 onion and fresh tomatoes into pieces.
Blend ginger, garlic, rosemary and 1 onion until smooth.
Place a pot on fire and add oil. Add onion slices and cook until translucent for 3 minutes.
Pour in blended mixture and allow to simmer until thick. Add tomato paste.
Stir in cooked meat or gizzard. Add pepper. Cook for 5 minutes
Wash and break salmon into pieces then add to stew. Add cooked cabbage and cook for 7 minutes. Adjust salt and seasoning
Serve Cabbage with any food of choice.
