NOTES ABOUT THE INGREDIENTS:

Buy and use fresh mozzarella and parmesan and shred it for this recipe. The flavor in fresh cheeses is much better than in the pre-packaged ones.

I prefer chicken Italian sausage, but pork or beef would be equally delicious in this. If you don’t like sausage, you can add more vegetables or substitute with pepperoni, shredded chicken, tofu/tempeh, or a protein of your choice

DIRECTIONS ON TASTY SAUSAGE ARUGULA PIZZA

Heat a medium saucepan over high heat.

Add sausage and cook, breaking it up into chunks with a wooden spoon as it cooks.

Cook sausage, stirring occasionally, until it is cooked through, about 8 minutes. Set aside

Preheat oven to 415°. Grease an 8 inch pan with cooking spray.

Roll out your pizza dough on pan. Then top with tomato sauce.

Sprinkle with garlic powder and thyme.

Add shredded mozzarella cheese and sausage.

Place in oven and bake for 12 minutes or until crust is puffy and crisp.

Top with arugula, drizzle with olive oil.
