This Banana Egg Custard is a combination of banana, milk and egg, it is sugar-free and full of nutrients for a growing baby.

FAQs
How many months old does a baby need to be to be able to have custard?
If your baby is less than 17 weeks (less than 4 months) then the guidance from the Health Nutritionist around the world would be that your baby is too young to start solids.
If your baby is between 17 and 26 weeks, that is between 4-6 months old, and meets the physical requirements to begin solids then the advice may vary depending on your own country’s weaning guidelines.
When your baby is over 6 months according to health guidelines its ok to start solids
Should a baby have cows milk?
Essentially, babies shouldn’t have cows milk as a beverage under 1 yr of age, this should be breastmilk or infant formula. It is ok for babies to have cows milk in foods, meals and snacks.
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
1 egg yolks
1/2 cup milk of your choice (cows milk, breast milk, formula, etc)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
1/2 banana, mashed
DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO PREPARE BANANA EGG CUSTARD
Remove egg yolks and place in a bowl. Add milk, vanilla extract to egg yolks and whisk together until completely combined.
Pour egg mixture into a saucepan and under a low heat, boil custard. Stir continuously to avoid burning
As soon as the custard starts to thicken, continue stirring until desired thickness is reached, but do not overcook the egg or it will go lumpy.
Pour cooked custard in a bowl. Allow it to cool for 3 minutes then add in mashed banana and mix well.
Allow to cool off before serving.
