Perfect Welsh Rarebit Recipe. Welsh rarebit or Welsh rabbit is a dish consisting of a hot cheese-based sauce served over slices of toasted bread.
The original 18th-century name of the dish was the jocular “Welsh rabbit”, which was later reinterpreted as “rarebit”, as the dish contains no rabbit.
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
8 slice bread
1 Salt
200 g cheddar cheese grated
2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 tablespoon milk
DIRECTIONS ON PERFECT WELSH RAREBIT RECIPE
In a bowl combine the cheese, egg, milk, mustard and Worcestershire sauce.
Toast the bread on both sides.
Divide the cheese mixture between the slices and spread over.Put under the grill until the cheese has melted and is browned
