American Buttermilk Pancake with crispy Bacon
This Buttermilk pancakes are great breakfast recipe that taste delicious.
Done in less than an hour,you can have a fuffly, incredible pancakes all seasons.
With a crispy bacon and maple on the side, you will surely have a great meal.
RECIPE INGREDIENTS
Self-raising flour
Bicarbonate of soda
Salt
Caster sugar
Buttermilk
Semi-skimmed milk
Eggs
Unsalted butter, melted, plus extra for frying
Rashers smoked streaky bacon
Maple syrup
DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO MAKE AMERICAN BUTTERMILK PANCAKE WITH CRISPY BACON
Sift together the flour, bicarbonate of soda, salt and sugar in a bowl. In another bowl, mix together the buttermilk, milk, eggs and butter. Gradually, combine the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir to combine. Do not overbeat
Melt a small knob of butter in a large frying pan. Using a ladle, pour some batter into pan. Depending on the size of the pan, you may be able to make more than one pancake at a time.
Cook the pancake until the underside is golden brown and the top is bubbling. Turn them over and cook for another minute. Keep the pancakes warm while you cook the remaining batter.
Meanwhile, in a separate pan, heat 1 tablespoon oil and fry the bacon rashers until crisp. Serve the pancakes in stacks with rashers of crispy bacon and maple syrup to pour over.
Serve the pancakes stacked on top of each other, topped with grilled bacon and drizzled with maple syrup.
