Creamy oatmeal Smoothie
A deliciously thick and creamy banana smoothie that is loaded with oats and has a hint a cinnamon. Makes for a healthy and filling breakfast or snack!
WHY MAKE AN OATMEAL SMOOTHIE?
Oats are high in plant based protein. 1 cup of raw oats have 11 grams protein. That’s about 20% of your daily need!
Oats are high in fiber. 1 cup of raw oats have 8 grams of fiber, which is about 30% of the daily value.
Oats are very filling: they may reduce appetite and help you eat less calories.

If the smoothie is too thick for your liking, add more milk.

INGREDIENT
1/4 cup quick oats
1 frozen chopped banana
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter
1/2 tablespoon pure maple syrup
1/2 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 tablespoon ground cinnamon
salt
DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO MAKE CREAMY OATMEAL SMOOTHIE
Pour oats in blender and pulse until finely ground.
Add banana, milk, peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
Blend until smooth stopping to scrape down the blender as needed.
Pour into glass and put it inside a refrigerator. Serve cold with some of the chopped bananas as toppings
Store them up to 1 day, refrigerated in a sealed container or a mason jar with the lid on.
The smoothie may separate, which is perfectly natural. Just shake it up and you’re good to go!
