Slow Cooker Chicken Tacos
They are an easy family favorite meal!
A handful of ingredients tossed into the slow cooker makes the most tender flavorful chicken for tacos (or for Chicken Enchiladas, burritos, loaded nachos and more)

RECIPE INGREDIENTS
2 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 yellow onion, sliced
1/3 cup lime juice
4 chiles in adobo, chopped, plus 3 tablespoons chiles in adobo sauce
2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1 can Mexican beer, such as Modelo
DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO MAKE SLOW COOKER CHICKEN TACOS
At the bottom of slow cooker, add onions then place chicken on top.
In a medium bowl or measuring cup, whisk together lime juice, chiles, salt, brown sugar, garlic powder, chili powder, and cumin. Pour lime juice mixture and beer over chicken.
Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or high for 2 hours.
When chicken is tender, remove from slow cooker and shred using a fork. Then return to slow cooker with 3 tablespoons chilis in adobo sauce.
Toss with the cooking liquid. Remove chicken with slotted spoon or tongs and serve with
Corn tortillas, Shredded purple cabbage, Sliced jalapeño and Sliced avocado.
